Master Order Description: Annual Maintenance for Sun Microsystems Workstations and associated peripherals. This contract is for “indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery” purchases of maintenance for Sun workstations and attached/associated peripherals. The contract allows you to choose from the following types of maintenance service: · On-Site Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with next-day response · On-Site 7 days/week, 24 hours/day with 4-hour response · On-Site Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with 4-hour response · Customer assisted/return to depot service (unlimited exchange and/or return for repair to vendor – vendor has right to determine when equipment is to be shipped to vendor for repair). For this option, shipping is at cost and risk to the University for shipments to the vendor; shipping is at cost and risk to vendor for return shipments to the University. All the above options include parts and labor. · Time and Materials All campuses and facilities of the University System of Maryland are eligible to make purchases from this contract. |

Instructions for issuing a release against this Master Order: Use UM Visa Purchasing Card up to $5,000: Give the contract vendor the University’s Master Order Number 79250-T in order to assure proper pricing and contract terms and your UM Visa Purchasing Card number so the charges can be properly assigned. The purchase will be included on your monthly Visa Statement/Log. There is no other paperwork. Master Order Release: This is an alternative method under $5,000 and the only method for departments to order on their own over $5,000. Give the contract vendor the University’s Master Order Number 79250-T in order to assure proper pricing and contract terms. Then use a Master Order Release “MC” Number as a unique “purchase order” number. Ask the vendor to reference the “MC” number on the invoice sent to Accounts Payable. Complete the Master Order Release and distribute copies as indicate on the form. Department Responsibility: You are reminded that it is the responsibility of the using Department to monitor releases made against the Master Order for consistency with the items, prices and terms of the contract. Only those items and/or services included under the scope of the contract are to be purchased using the Master Order release process. By issuing a release against a Master Order, the person issuing the release certifies that sufficient authorized funds are available. · Call vendor representative, Deborah Curley, to obtain current pricing based upon the individual equipment. Type on the master order release the customer number, site number, and contract number which is assigned to your department by vendor for identification purposes. Also, include the effective dates. · Individual departments will need to set up a “TICKLER FILE” as a reminder to renew each year prior to the expiration of current orders to avoid being without service. You will not get a reminder of orders about to expire. Additional Discounts: You get an extra 2% annual prepayment (one payment for full amount , paid at beginning of maintenance period) discount from the total of your order. (This does not apply to monthly payments). Note: If using federal funds for maintenance with a unit cost over $5,000, FAX a copy of the Master Order Release to Office of Research Advancement and Administration (ORAA) 301-314-9569 for approval before placing the Master Order Release with the vendor |

Pricing Information: - This Master Order offers a _65 % discount from the CIS price list which follows. List prices are subject to change - contact vendor for current list prices. - Time and Material Labor rates: $125.00/hr with 2 hour minimum – (straight time) 8:00am – 5:00 PM Mon-Fri.; $145.00/hr with 2 hour minimum – (premium time) – 5:00 pm – 8:00 am, weekends, and approved holidays. Plus Parts which are 20% discount from CIS’s current parts list price. - Contact vendor for pricing customized configurations. |
